SoundLogger: Noise & dB Tracker

SoundLogger Support & Privacy

SoundLogger is a private, intelligent environmental noise diary for iPhone. Track decibel levels, automatically identify over 300 sounds, and view your daily exposure history — with 100% on-device privacy.

Getting Started

  1. Download SoundLogger from the App Store.
  2. Grant Microphone Access: SoundLogger requires microphone permissions to measure and classify ambient sounds.
  3. Leave it Running: Place your phone on your desk or nightstand. The app will log loud events in the background.
  4. Review Your Timeline: Open the app to see a beautifully timestamped log of everything your phone heard, categorized by sound type and decibel level.

Features

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the app record what I am saying?
No. SoundLogger never records, saves, or uploads any audio. It processes live audio buffers in memory purely to calculate the volume (dB) and categorize the sound type using Apple’s on-device Machine Learning.

Does it work without Wi-Fi?
Yes! Because all processing is done on your device, SoundLogger does not require an internet connection to identify sounds or log data.

Will it drain my battery?
Continuous audio monitoring does use battery. We recommend leaving your phone plugged in if you plan to use SoundLogger continuously overnight.

How do I delete my history?
You can swipe left on any individual event to delete it, or use the “Clear All” button in the app to wipe your entire history.
